TabTrade Review - The Good and the Catch

TabTrade — The Short Version

Tab Trade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a New Zealand-regulated broker.

His background tells you something. It means the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. Does not guarantee anything. It is better than a random name you cannot trace.

TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same facilities prime brokers run on. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.

The instrument list: FX, indices, gold, silver, commodities, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. A wide spread. For something this new, that range is not narrow.

What You Trade On

You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from the same login. Many only give you one or the other. Access to both makes a difference. Pick what suits your style.

MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you know MetaTrader before, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader is the cleaner option. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders prefer it after comparing.

Direct FIX connectivity is available for automated strategies but needs the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView is reportedly on the roadmap. That will round things out when it arrives.

Accounts and Pricing

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Good for beginners.

Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is often under 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can be under half a pip. That is hard to beat for an offshore broker. Most platforms that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. This broker has no minimum.

VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, faster fills, custom pricing. Not something the average person. Skip it unless you move real size.

Infrastructure

The execution is the thing this broker stands apart. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform quote hundreds of milliseconds.

Should you care? If you scalp, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. What matters is the setup is serious. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Put together that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and what you get makes sense. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit run Equinix connectivity.

Safety

Now, the thing that requires honesty. The broker is licensed by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a problem for you, stop reading. Plenty of tier-1 alternatives out there.

That said. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not bother with proper execution infrastructure. That does not replace tier-1 regulation. It should be part of your assessment.

What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether this deal makes sense is your call.

Welcome Offer

Tab Trade offers bonus funds of up to $2,000. Standard sign-up bonus. You put money in, they credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: minimum lots traded before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Read the conditions before funding.
